Tally Lake Campground

Tally Lake Campground is located on the north shore of Tally Lake, 17 miles northwest of Whitefish, MT. The campground has 40 sites, a beach area, boat launch, fishing and boating dock and an open air pavilion with grills and tables, volleyball court, horseshoe pit and open grassy area for games and activities. The day use beach and picnic area are large open grassy areas with a defined swimming area marked by buoys, as well as a changing area and wildlife interpretive signs with a large spotting scope. The Tally Lake Campground is typically open between mid-May and mid-September, weather permitting. Maximum stay is 16 days.

Pavilion:
1 – 25 people - $100/night
26 – 50 people - $175/night
51 – 75 people - $250/night
75 – 100 people - $325/night
Boat Rentals:Kayaks and Paddle Boards - $10/hr, $25/half-day, and $40/full-day

Golden Passes are not applicable toward additional vehicle fees, group site or Pavilion fees, boat rentals or firewood.

Amenities: fire rings; picnic tables; water hydrants located throughout the campground; firewood ($5.00/bundle); accessible vault toilets; RV dump site.

Activities: boating; fishing; hiking; biking; bird-watching; sight-seeing; wildlife viewing. Note: There is a hiking trail located on the road to the north shore sites that offers a 1 mile hike (2 miles round trip), to a scenic vista of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Getting There: From Whitefish, MT, take US Rt. 93 north for 4 miles until you reach Twin Bridges Rd., turn left onto Twin Bridges Rd. and travel 1.4 miles to the Tally Lake Campground sign. Turn right after the sign, staying the Twin Bridges Rd. and proceed 1 mile to another campground sign at Farm to Market. Turn left on to Farm to Market Road and drive 2 miles to Tally Lake Rd (dirt) then go 9 miles to campground.
