Doris Creek Campground

Doris Creek Campground and boat launch area is located on the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir approximately 6 miles south of Hungry Horse, MT. The boat launch area is separate from the campground and has a 70 place parking area with a concrete double-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock, as well as a day use area with 3 picnic sites, each having a fire ring and picnic table. The campground is about 1 mile from the boat launch area and has 10 standard sites. The campground is typically open between mid-May and mid-September, weather permitting. Maximum stay is 16 days.

$5.00/each additional vehicle per night
Boat launch and day use area - $5.00/vehicle

Golden Passes are not applicable toward additional vehicle fees or firewood.

Amenities: fire rings; picnic tables; food storage boxes located throughout the campground; firewood ($5.00/bundle); accessible vault toilet.
NOTE: THERE IS NO WATER AVAILABLE, AND THERE IS CURRENTLY NO GARBAGE SERVICE AT THIS CAMPGROUND. PLEASE PACK-IN, PACK-OUT.

Getting There: Turn off U.S. Highway 2 at West Side Hungry Horse Reservoir Road (Forest Road #895) and follow the road across the Hungry Horse Dam. The boat launch is 2 miles south of the Dam. The campground is 1 mile past the boat launch. The road is paved to the boat launch and campground.
